I am supposedly a stay at home mom…funny, I am never home! I am really a taxi driver, maid, servant, teacher, preacher, coach, sister, mom, insane woman. I have 6 kids, that I home school, or Magen home schools when I work, but it gets done!
They range in age from: Anya 16 (in a few weeks), Taylor 13, Kieran 10, Lily 7, Maggie 5, and Rowan 2. Girl, Boy, Boy, Girl, Girl, Boy…Whew!
They are wonderful at times, but let’s be honest about this…with 6 kids, well let me just say we are no Dugger family! It is hectic and insane at my house! They are loud, smart, funny, disobedient, cheeky, snarky, moody, fantastic, and so much more.
My husband is a musician. His main gig is as a studio musican…what does that mean? Well, it means that he plays in many studios and plays on songwriter demos, or master sessions and plays on peoples records…or cd’s (depending on your age)…His second gig is playing drums for Reba McEntire. She doesn’t do many dates per year, so this is his was to see the country…Stay at 4 star hotels, and have very nice meals…No kids included. His next few gigs are: Songwriting, and producing. He is an amazing songwriter, he and I have written many songs over the past few years. We had 2 songs on Reba’s Duet cd…Check it out! Sleeping with the Telephone: Duet with Faith Hill, and Everyday People: Duet with Carol King! Oh Yeah!!
Now you know that I am a part-time song writer. I also sing…kind of how I fell into songwriting. I am working on a cd. Have been working on one for years, actually started working on this 3 kids ago. It’s kind of how I “timeline” my life, by when I was either pregnant or had one of my many children. I promise myself and you, whoever is reading this blog, that I will get something finished and on here in the next few months! (5/10)
I love to knit, but really don’t make the time. I will try. I have a 2 year old that is more destructive then the Tazmanian Devil from Bugs Bunny!
I do enjoy reading, but at this point in life, magazines are about the only thing I have time to read. If I am pressed for time, I can at least look at the pictures! If I do have time to read…books on raising children…so I don’t hurt them!! 
I love God. I love my church. I go to Cross Point Community Church in Nashville TN.
I love my friends. I love my friends, I love my friends! I am totally blessed with an amazing circle of women in my life! It’s something I have prayed for and worked hard to develop these friendships. All of my relationships are very important to me, no matter how young or how old!! Women rock!
I love my FAMILY! They are scattered all over the country. That makes me sad, very sad, very very sad. I truly wish my parents and siblings and their families all lived near me! I don’t just love them, I really like being around all of them! Hanging out with them! (I secretly am praying that they all move near ME!)
Is my life crazy? Yes. Is it loud? Yes. Is it non stop? Definitely, but with our trust and faith in God…in this journey of life, in the chaos is a definite sense of peace. It’s Very Cool.
